To Gain or Not to Gain...

Hey guys! Sup? lol. The last few weeks have been very weird. I met a guy, we went out a bit, he broke up with me because he thought I was younger than what I said I was, I showed him my passport to prove I was really 19, he wanted to get back together, I said "lets just be friends for now," and we have been friends since. But then his friend who was there when I first met him contacted me and said he was jealous of the guy I was seeing, and that he wants me, so I met him, he was cool, he has a nice belly, he is older, but he doesn't live in the same city as me. So basically, I have him trying to get with me, and the other guy trying to get back together with me romantically... Oh, and I forgot to mention, they both have a LOT of baggage. Like I mean mental and emotional baggage, and the bad thing is, they are both giving it all to me. One has paranoia and anxiety, the other one has drug issues. Like come on! Can't I get with a normal person? Which leads me to my main topic. Are there any normal guys out there that want me? Seriously! Do I have to lose weight to get a good guy or can I keep growing and find a good guy? So should I stop gaining and lose, or keep gaining? Finding a good guy isn't the only reason why I am stumped about gaining. We started Nutrition class two weeks ago. My God it is boring as hell, but it also got me thinking, am I eating well enough? Like I know there is a somewhat healthy way to gain, but am I doing it? I don't know... I need someone to give me a pep talk about gaining:) Anyways, I am happy otherwise. Love you all..
XOXO
Andrew

  1. Try not to worry to much, not really any normal guys but you'll find your "normal" one no matter what weight. I would say don't gain for someone else but for yourself. It's about how you feel not others and that guy you want will come along when you least expect it (annoying but true). As for healthy gaining, there are ways to do it so as long as you want to be going up in the lbs keep at it man!

Hope this helps, I am the worst writer in existence haha later man
    Love your blog!

  2. Hi, Andrew:
First the positive thing in your life: Congratulations on your developing your body. What a fine specimen of manhood!
Secondly: the friends you are making and/or meeting. Sorry that you are having problems.
The guy with mental troubles. They can be controlled with medication; usually a long-drawn-out process plus, when the individual feels better, they believe they don't need the medication any more and things are back to point zero. So, your choices are to put up with the "unloading" onto you or terminate the friendship.
The situation with the drug user is very similar, except drug users, like smokers or practicing alcoholics, can give it up. They "can", some do and others aren't willing, because they don't see it as a problem.
When it comes to your question: Do you have to lose weight to make friends. You know the answer yourself. The size of a person's body has very little to do with friendship or love. The old saying: "Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder" remains very true.
Are you trying too hard to find an intimate friend? Maybe others are trying to get to know you better? Give them a chance, even if you don't find them attractive to begin with.
The point I want to make: You will have to accept your friends and intimates with all their "bad points" (from your point of view). You will never be able to change them to your ideals and ideas!!
When it comes to your being a gainer, it has very little to do with finding friends. It works the same way for others the way I just explained to you. They will accept you for what you are and starving yourself will not get you true friends.
When it comes to what you should eat. There are those who tell you to eat raw vegetables, fruit and nuts only. As you know, to gain you have to consume lots of calories. Of course, eating only deep-fried food is definitely not good for you. But there is lots of food with calories, especially starch like pasta etc. Surely you know that peanut butter has lots of calories (and is relatively cheap as well).
Like everything else in life, a variety is good for you and your body. So pick your high calorie foods from different sources. - I'm sure you will hear horror stories from some experts in Culinary School. But, when you look around you, there are oodles of people who are "fat" to some degree, not only young people, but many older and "old" ones. Enough proof that enjoying a big belly doesn't mean one will die young!!
I'm glad you are happy otherwise. In return I am sending you love,
    your fellow-Ontarian, Norbert.
